Okay, can I get a teeny little time-out here? What does any of that stuff have to do with anything? The curse of the haunted treasure, an ancient fortune left behind by the conquistadors that first settled this area.

Legend has it that it is buried somewhere deep beneath us, and it now appears that Pericles is on the verge of discovering it. Everyone gasp And if he does, it could well mean the end of Crystal Cove.

Way to go, gang. Who's been served now, huh? I won't deny it, you are a worthy opponent. You're not bad yourself. Was that a gage burrow strategy you used back there? You know, I thought at first I'd go with the Orpheus proposition, but I didn't have any milk.

Sorry to interrupt, but what's the big idea trying to kill us?

And what's with this thing? I thought you had returned to steal it. I think you have us confused with the original Mystery Inc. Say, now that you mention it, you don't look anything like I remember you.

Especially that parrot over there. I've made a terrible, terrible mistake. What has become of me? I suppose it started that Halloween night.

My family came upon a mysterious artifact, a key to finding the great cursed treasure rumored to lie beneath Crystal Cove. It corrupted us with greed. I had just gotten my hands on it when the earth shook and swallowed our entire house. My loved ones grew old and passed all around me, but I hardly even noticed.

Then, those meddling kids showed up. They were after my treasure. So I spied on them. And I booby-trapped the whole house in ways that would prey upon their weaknesses.

Eh, but they left. So you've been waiting for them to come back all this time? Truth be told, I kind of lost track. Has it really been that long? How do I look? Haven't let myself go, have I? I love what you've done with your hair. My whole life has been a waste. The Mansion began rumbling and collapsing. All those traps going off must have awaken the area's fault line.

Quick, grab my hand! Don't worry about me! The gang watch the ceiling breaking outside. Now's your chance for escape. And may it bring you more happiness than it ever brought me. The ceiling is still breaking, the light shines outside Now, through that crevice before it's too late!

The gang escape the Mansion collapsed leaving Danny Darrow alone. After all that, he saved us. Or did we save him? Like, he did say this wedge was Whatever it is, it's our responsibility now. The question is, are there other pieces out there?

And if there are, who else is looking for them? Mayor Jones watches the gang from the car window and drives away. The Dragon's Secret[ edit ] Fred: It's the trapper's trap. Why do you have a geisha tied up in here? You know they belong downtown in Crystal Cove's geisha house of terror.

He's not a geisha, dad. Or at least that's who he's pretending to be I've searched for the dragon's heart all my life. I tracked it to your silly little town, and it was almost mine. You won't be needing these anymore. Now it all makes sense. Wang used his supposed research trip to Crystal Cove as an excuse to hunt for the dragon's heart.

When he saw that Mai Le was wearing the fourth dragon ring, he knew he was close. After the wizard battle downtown, Mr. Wang came to my house in one last effort to get the ring. But how did he make himself fly? Oh, the same way I did, takes the White Wizard costume off of Mr. Scooby, Shaggy, Velma and Fred: And the magic lightning bolts? Wang's hand Homemade Tesla coils. I still don't know what that means. Daphne unmasks Nightfright Daphne, Velma and Fred: When you pulled out of the movie, they decided not to make it.

I had to take a job as a production assistant. But, why have you done this? Well, by scaring you and everyone watching on TV, I was going to prove that Nightfright deserved his own horror movie. Right before you started filming, I hid my Nightfright costume in a closet. I used the conduit to sneak in and put the costume on. I paid the other actors to pretend to be knocked out when I attacked. Of course, I couldn't let anyone know that I was Nightfright.

I had to sneak out every now and then, and get everyone coffee. I'm Harry Shneste-Boysen, the executive producer of this show. I've been watching the whole thing from my jacuzzi. It's gonna make a great movie. A movie, about me? Uh, you know, none of this would have happened without you meddling kids.

So, what talent has Velma kept hidden? Apparently, Velma is a pretty great singer.

She has quite a set of pipes on her, but stage fright derailed Velma's career as a singer. Thankfully, she knew the words to this particular song. As this was the late '90s, Garofalo would have been the obvious choice for the role, as the comedian even had the character's witty sarcasm down to perfection. As time would prove, the role went to Linda Cardellini, who did a more than decent job as the iconic teenage sleuth.

In this series, Daphne and Fred are in a committed relationship, while Velma relentlessly pursues Shaggy. Sadly, the latter does not seem ready to take the next stop, even going as far to admit that he has no interest in asking Dinkley to the prom. In retaliation, Velma kicks over a couple of tombstones. With the boy missing his dog, Velma acts like Scooby to try and turn Shaggy's frown upside down.

While Daphne encapsulated the popular and feminine trends of the time, Velma went in a completely opposite direction. An introvert who cared more about intellect than physical appearances, Velma earned a reputation as a cultural icon. Taking into account her numerous relationships over the years, it is unlikely that Hanna-Barbera planned to present the character in this light.

That aside, Velma holds a special place in many people's heartsleading to a devoted fan base that has endured across generations. While "jinkies" is probably Velma's greatest creation, the investigator is known to be blind as a bat without her glasses. I can't see without my glasses! Velma does not wear glasses just for the fun of it, as the character is completely blind without them and even seems to misplace some of her intelligence.

There are times when she cannot tell the difference between Shaggy and the weekly monster. While the rest of the gang do contribute to the overall mystery, Velma is the only one that is truly indispensable. Without her investigate skills, the Scooby gang would be lucky to solve five cases. Velma's detective reasoning cannot be denied, but she remains a year-old girl who lacks experience in many facets of life.

Apparently, mystery solving does not foster self-awareness. A character's name could make or break their career, with Velma proving to be the former. She seems to be very strong when she's angry, being able to kick tombstones out of the ground. Mystery Incorporated Season one Velma was sent to jail with the gang after solving another mystery, but they were soon released. Velma wanted to be open about their relationship, but Shaggy didn't want to hurt Scooby-Doo 's feelings of someone coming between them.

After solving the mystery of the Slime Mutant the gang received a call from Mr. E at K-Ghoulwarning them that a greater mystery was buried beneath the town.

When Scooby got scared by lightning and jumped on Shaggy, he held Velma's hand. E's henchman and Velma wasn't happy that Scooby wasn't polite. In the end she watched Scooby and Shaggy reunite, making her jealous. Later, she found a letter from Mr. E that read "Don't panic, this has all happened before," and a picture of the old Mystery Incorporated with Professor Pericles circled. Velma almost fell to her death, but Scooby rescued her before the evil orc imposter was jailed.

Scooby was immune to the spell and had to solve the mystery with Pericles. When the mansion began to sink farther the gang escaped, but Danny Darrow was left behind and was presumed killed.
